Mga Manggagawa laban sa mga Politiko: Ish Unpeyr! (Laborer/General Workers versus Politicians: It's Unfair)

Food Server/Dining Staff Qualifications: >Male 5'4", Female 5'2" >Has good communication skills and pleasing personality >college level >experience in related field is an advantage

Above is an example of a job advertisement in the Philippines. Can you believe it? A simple job requires such high qualifications. You have to be this tall, you have to be in college, you have to have experience.

There's nothing wrong with that, the one thing that I don't understand about the Philippines is, for simple jobs, they ask for high qualifications. Even college graduates have hard time looking for jobs, but for government positions, they don't ask for qualifications like these. In my opinion, if you want to lead a part of the country, or the whole country even, you have to have a degree and a master's. The qualifications should be inline with how hard a position you're applying for.
There should be a law, wherein government positions should require at least a degree. To those incumbent officials, they should be given time to take further study and finish their degree; otherwise, they should be asked to resign.

Learning is a life-long process. Even typical workers still take further studies because it's a necessity. What makes politics different?
